Baseball Ready To Take On Lehigh In Patriot League Semifinals
The Holy Cross baseball team hosts Lehigh in the Patriot League Semifinals this weekend, beginning with a doubleheader on Saturday at 1:05.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE CRUSADERS:
- Holy Cross completed its 2016 regular season with an overall record of 27-24 and a 14-6 mark in Patriot League play.
- Junior outfielder Bill Schlich (Massapequa, N.Y.) leads the Crusaders with a .306 batting average on the season. He has scored 25 runs and registered 24 RBIs while leading the team with 16 extra-base hits (14 doubles, two triples).
- Junior first baseman Anthony Critelli (Holmdel, N.J.) leads the Crusaders with 34 RBIs on the season and has notched a team-leading nine home runs, which is the third-most in school history.
- Junior pitcher Brendan King (Brookline, Mass.) is 6-2 for the season, holding an ERA of 3.03 through 65.1 innings pitched. He leads the Crusaders with 60 strikeouts on the year.
- Senior pitcher Sean Gustin (Stoneham, Mass.) leads the Crusaders with eight saves on the season, ranking him third all-time in school history. His 14 career saves rank second all-time.
KING, CRITELLI AND SCHLICH EARN ALL-PATRIOT LEAGUE HONORS:
- King, Critelli and Schlich all earned all-conference awards, as announced by the league on Tuesday. King and Critelli were named first team All-Patriot League, while Schlich was named second team All-Patriot League.

THE TOURNAMENT FIELD:
- Holy Cross is serving as the number two seed in the tournament and hosting number three Lehigh in the semifinal round, while Navy is the number one seed hosting number four Bucknell this weekend. Both semifinal series will take place on May 14-15.
- The Patriot League Championship Series will be hosted the weekend of May 20 at the site of the highest remaining seed following the semifinal round. The official dates and start time of the championship have yet to be determined.

- Lehigh finished its regular season with a 24-27 overall record and a 9-10 mark in conference play, making them the third seed in this year’s tournament.
- Mike Garzillo, named the 2016 Patriot League Player of the Year, leads the Mountain Hawks with a batting average of .324 on the season. He has notched 33 RBIs on the season with 48 runs scored, 19 extra-base hits and seven home runs.
- Kevin Boswick, a second team All-Patriot League selection as a relief pitcher, holds an ERA of 3.28 on the season through 35.2 innings pitched. In 14 appearances with four starts, he holds a record of 2-2 with 31 strikeouts and a team-best four saves on the season.
- Lehigh is the defending Patriot League Champion, having defeated Holy Cross in the semifinals and Navy in the championship in 2015. They were eliminated in the NCAA Tournament with losses to LSU and Tulane.
- This is the third-straight year Lehigh has made the Patriot League Tournament.
