SHREWSBURY, MA β€” Shrewsbury officials are urging residents to answer calls from contact tracers to help slow the spread of the new coronavirus. Contact tracing calls are used to identify people who were possibly exposed to the virus and help identify anyone else who might have been exposed.

Anyone who tested positive for COVID-19 will get a call from the Massachusetts COVID Team. Shrewsbury officials stressed the importance of answering the calls to slow the spread.

Other measures including self-quarantine, hand washing and social distancing are vital to slowing the spread of COVID-19.
