CULTURAL GRANTS AVAILABLE

The Shrewsbury Cultural Council (SCC) will begin to accept grant applications September 1. Application forms, instructions and grant information can be found on the Cultural Council’s website: www.Mass-culture.org/Shrewsbury. More information can also be found at the Massachusetts Cultural Council’s website: www.MassCulturalCouncil.org.

Completed applications can be mailed or delivered to the Shrewsbury Cultural Council, ℅ Selectmen’s Office, 100 Maple Ave., Shrewsbury MA 01545. Submission deadline for programs to be held in 2015 is October 15, 2014.

The SCC awarded 21 grants totaling $8,314 last year to help support local art, science and humanities programming, which included funding school field trips, concerts, theatrical productions, science and art projects, workshops, and other cultural events.

Council members are: Mark Adler (Chair), Elizabeth Leitko, William Sigalis, Linda Cavallero, Sandra McManus, Lee Reid, Caroline Reich, and Neena Mohanka.
