Development Watch: Metso Automation Expands, Adds 42 Jobs

Metso Automation, which is located at 42 Bowditch Drive, is expanding its facility by 40,000 square feet and adding 42 employees, according to a recent filing with the Shrewsbury Planning Board. 

Metso operates a valve manufacturing company which consists primarily of metal machining, valve assembly, product coating and associated support functions, said Town Planner Kristin Las.  

"The new space is planned for storage and assembly," she said. 

The project comes before the Planning Board on Thursday, Sept. 5, for site plan approval and a special permit.
