Elderly Woman Seriously Injured After Hit and Run in Shrewsbury
The woman was walking on Harrington Ave. when a driver hit her and fled. Police are looking for information.

Shrewsbury police are seeking information after a woman was seriously injured on Thursday afternoon.
Jeanne Cote, 68, 117 Old Mill Road, Shrewsbury, was walking in the area of 103 Harrington Ave., when she was hit by a car, with the driver fleeing the scene.
Shrewsbury police and fire responded at 1:07 p.m. to the accident to find that Cote had been severely injured. She is being treated at UMass Hospital.

Police say Cote was walking north on the sidewalk when the accident occurred with the vehicle traveling south when the car jumped the curb and struck her. It was reported that a driver was operating erratically in the area, and police have determined that the vehicle was silver and received damage to the passenger side.
