Fun Free Friday at the Worcester Art Museum

Join the Worcester Art Museum (WAM) for "FREE FUN FRIDAY" on 

Friday, July 8.

Thanks to the Highland Street Foundation, admission to WAM is free on Friday, July 8. There will be a host of fun activities for children of all ages.

Texture Drawing (weather permitting)

12 to 4 p.m. in the 

Stoddard Garden Court:

While enjoying lunch in the outdoor café, the children can try their hands at texture drawing using our community mosaics. You will be amazed at what they can create with just crayons and paper.

Paint the Museum (weather permitting)

12 to 4 p.m. at the 

Lancaster Street Entrance:

Yes, you read that right. All it takes is a bucket of water and some brushes to ignite your child's imagination, and maybe yours, as well. 

Family Explorations

11:30 a.m. / 1 p.m. / 2 p.m. in the

 Lancaster Lobby:

Join one of the talented docents for a family-friendly trek through the Museum galleries. The whole gang can join in on the fun or use the activity guide to wander independently

. Each exploration lasts about 30 minutes. The children get prizes when they are done.

Color Fun: Foam Block Prints

12:30 to 4 p.m. in 

Studio 100 in the Higgins Education Wing:

Make room on the refrigerator for your child's mini-masterpiece. The children will have a great time creating colorful and imaginative prints using a variety at-home materials. Do not forget to dress for mess.
