Elsie Kaye Gift Shop &amp; Artisan Studio In 2009, on a whim, Holly Kenny took a flameworking class and learned to make glass beads. This sparked a love of glass art and led to the launch her business, Elsie Kaye Gift Shop and Art Studio in downtown Westborough. Holly currently teaches flameworking and metalworking at her studio and is on the faculty at the New England Craft Program in Williamsburg, MA. Holly loves the fluidity and movement of glass and enjoys incorporating metals, enamels and other elements that can change the texture and appearance of the glass. As a result, much of her work takes on an abstract, organic feel. Her work, under the name Elsie Kaye Glassworks, can be found at more than 50 boutiques and galleries across the country. Holly is passionate about promoting emerging local artists by selling their work at her retail shop, as well as helping to foster connections with new and existing businesses in the local area. She is an active member of her community, where she has lived with her husband and two children since 2006.

The <a href="http://worcesterfriendsmeeting.org" rel="noopener nofollow" target="_blank">Worcester Friends Meeting House</a> (901 Pleasant St., Worcester) is hosting Ralph Waldo Emerson as portrayed by Wendell Refior on Saturday, March 12 from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Refior will deliver "The Fugitve Slave Law Address", originally read in Concord in May 1851. Wendell Refior is an Emerson scholar and re-enactor. He has studied and taught the works of Ralph Waldo Emerson for the last ten years. Refior has received rave reviews for his passionate insights to the inspiring idealism in Emerson's great essays and addresses. Appearing in period costume, Refior has thrilled a numerous audiences delivering Emerson's most famous orations and sermons. A $10 donation is greatly appreciated.
