Ralph Waldo Emerson in Worcester

The Worcester Friends Meeting House (901 Pleasant St., Worcester) is hosting Ralph Waldo Emerson as portrayed by Wendell Refior on Saturday, March 12 from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Refior will deliver "The Fugitve Slave Law Address", originally read in Concord in May 1851.

Wendell Refior is an Emerson scholar and re-enactor. He has studied and taught the works of Ralph Waldo Emerson for the last ten years. Refior has received rave reviews for his passionate insights to the inspiring idealism in Emerson's great essays and addresses.

Appearing in period costume, Refior has thrilled a numerous audiences delivering Emerson's most famous orations and sermons.
