Elsie Kaye Gift Shop &amp; Artisan Studio In 2009, on a whim, Holly Kenny took a flameworking class and learned to make glass beads. This sparked a love of glass art and led to the launch her business, Elsie Kaye Gift Shop and Art Studio in downtown Westborough. Holly currently teaches flameworking and metalworking at her studio and is on the faculty at the New England Craft Program in Williamsburg, MA. Holly loves the fluidity and movement of glass and enjoys incorporating metals, enamels and other elements that can change the texture and appearance of the glass. As a result, much of her work takes on an abstract, organic feel. Her work, under the name Elsie Kaye Glassworks, can be found at more than 50 boutiques and galleries across the country. Holly is passionate about promoting emerging local artists by selling their work at her retail shop, as well as helping to foster connections with new and existing businesses in the local area. She is an active member of her community, where she has lived with her husband and two children since 2006.

The Annual SPLAT Holiday Party will be held on December 23.  This year's Holiday Party promises to be the biggest ever.  Registration is required.  Call 508-842-0081 ext. 5 to register with Dan Barbour.  Among some of the events will be a scavenger hunt, lots of goodies and a gift swap.  The library provides all the gifts, you do the swapping. The "cost" of this festive party: 1) a snack to share, if you can and 2) a canned good or two to donate to the Worcester County Food Bank.  This "cost" is only suggested and not required.  Thus, if you are unable to bring either of these things, please join us anyway.  However, registration is required to attend the party.
