The Matthew John Whittall Lodge (353 Boston Turnpike, Route 9 West in Shrewsbury) is hosting its Traditional Irish Dinner on Saturday, March 12 from 3 to 6 p.m. All proceeds benefit their Charitable Fund, which helps support many local non-profit organizations. Much of the funding goes to the distribution of coats to Shrewsbury school children. This year alone, 42 coats were distributed district wide to children in need of winter coats. The Matthew John Whittall Charitable Fund also supports organizations such as the Red Cross and the Worcester County Food Bank.
Tickets for the Irish Dinner will be sold at the door. Ticket prices: $10 for adults, $5 for children ages six through 12 and free for children younger than six.
