Expanded Transportation Options For Shrewsbury Seniors, Residents With Disabilities

Shrewsbury seniors and residents with disabilities have more transportation options beyond regular Senior Center hours.

SHREWSBURY, MA — Local seniors and residents with disabilities have more options for getting to appointments, errands and activities outside regular Senior Center hours.

The Shrewsbury Council on Aging is offering free expanded transportation through Yellow Cab and Safeway Transportation, including evening and weekend service.

The transportation can be used for medical appointments, grocery shopping, social activities, community events and other essential trips. Wheelchair-accessible service is available.

The program is funded through the Massachusetts Council on Aging State Formula Grant and will remain available as long as funding lasts. Some exclusions apply.
