Holy Cross Men's Basketball To Face Lehigh On The CBS Sports Network

The Holy Cross men’s basketball team opens up a two-game road trip when it travels to Lehigh for a 7:30 p.m. contest on Monday, Feb. 15. The game between the Crusaders and the Mountain Hawks will be shown live to a national audience on the CBS Sports Network. In addition, the contest will air on WEEI 1440 AM in Worcester.

Holy Cross enters the game with an overall record of 10-14 and a 5-8 mark in the Patriot League. The Crusaders have lost seven of their last 10 games, but are coming off a 67-53 victory over Lafayette on Wednesday night. Holy Cross is currently tied for seventh place in the Patriot League with American and Army West Point.

Junior guard Robert Champion leads the team by averaging 11.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.2 steals per game. Junior forward Malachi Alexander has also been playing well, with averages of 10.8 points, 5.4 rebounds and 2.8 assists per contest. Freshman forward Karl Charles has added 10.5 points, 4.4 rebounds and 1.0 steals per game, while senior guard Cullen Hamilton is chipping in with 9.7 points and 2.6 boards per contest.

Lehigh stands 10-14 overall this season, and is tied for second place in the Patriot League with an 8-5 mark in conference games. The Mountain Hawks are currently riding a four-game winning streak, including an 80-65 victory at Bucknell on Wednesday. Lehigh also has an 8-5 record at home this year, with three consecutive wins.

Junior center Tim Kempton currently leads the Mountain Hawks with averages of 17.7 points and 8.4 rebounds per game, while hitting 54.4 percent of his field goal attempts (130 of 239). Junior guard Austin Price has added 13.7 points and 3.2 boards per contest, while freshman guard Kyle Leufroy is averaging 10.7 points and 4.0 rebounds per game.

After the contest with Lehigh, the Crusaders will remain on the road for a 7:00 p.m. game at Army West Point on Wednesday, Feb. 17.
