Holy Cross Men's Basketball Plays Host To Lafayette On Wednesday
The Holy Cross men's basketball team returns to action on Wednesday, Feb. 10, when it plays host to Lafayette at 7:05 p.m.

The Holy Cross men’s basketball team returns to action on Wednesday, Feb. 10, when it plays host to Lafayette in a 7:05 p.m. game at the Hart Center. An Orange Out will take place during the contest, to help raise awareness for early cancer detection. The game between the Crusaders and the Leopards can be seen live on the internet through Campus Insiders and the Patriot League Network. In addition, the contest will air live on WEEI 1440 AM in Worcester.
Holy Cross enters the game with an overall record of 9-14 and a 4-8 mark in the Patriot League. The Crusaders fell 77-52 to Bucknell on Saturday afternoon, and have now lost seven of their last nine games. Holy Cross is currently in ninth place in the Patriot League.
Junior guard Robert Champion leads the team by averaging 11.5 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.1 steals per game. Junior forward Malachi Alexander has also been playing well, with averages of 10.7 points, 5.3 rebounds and 2.7 assists per contest. Freshman forward Karl Charles has added 10.5 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.1 steals per game, while senior guard Cullen Hamilton is chipping in with 9.7 points and 2.7 boards per contest.
Lafayette stands 5-18 overall this season with a 2-10 mark in the Patriot League. The Leopards have dropped their last seven games, and are coming off an 87-72 loss to Lehigh on Monday night. Lafayette has not won a game since defeating Holy Cross 65-52 on Jan. 13.
Junior guard Nick Lindner currently leads the team by averaging 14.7 points and 4.3 assists per game. Sophomore forward Matt Klinewski has added 13.9 points and 5.5 rebounds per contest, while senior guard Bryce Scott is averaging 12.7 points and 3.0 boards per game.
After the contest with Lafayette, the Crusaders will hit the road for a 7:30 p.m. game at Lehigh on Monday, Feb. 15, which will be shown live on the CBS Sports Network.
