Holy Cross Women’s Tennis to Host Assumption on Thursday

The Holy Cross women’s tennis team will play its home opener on Thursday, September 15, when it hosts local rival Assumption College at 4:00 p.m. on the Sinnott Family Courts.
Holy Cross enters the matchup after finishing in 6th place at the Sacred Heart Doubles Invitational over the weekend. After not getting off to a great start, the Crusaders are looking to bounce back on their home courts and grab a victory over Assumption, who are currently 0-1 after a heavy defeat to Southern New Hampshire on Sunday. Holy Cross will be their third opponent of the season however, as they are scheduled to play Bentley on Tuesday, September 13.
Holy Cross senior captain Isabela Bagi will be in the number one doubles spot along-side junior co-captain Katie Elia. Sophomore Allison Reiling is in the number one singles match and is really looking to establish her dominance after having a solid freshman year. These players to watch will be in the spotlight for Thursday’s matchup.
After the matchup with Assumption, the Crusaders will travel to Loudonville, New York, for a 12:00 p.m. match against Siena on Sunday, September 18.
