Intergenerational Engagement With Worcester State University And Central Mass Agency On Aging In Shrewsbury
Virtual classes for English Language Learners and opportunities to be an English Language Tutor.

Worcester State University, with the support of Central Massachusetts Agency on Aging, is working to reduce social isolation among the elderly population during the COVID-19 Pandemic. The goal of this project is to engage with the elderly population in the Greater Worcester Area through online interaction and learning opportunities offered by Worcester State University faculty and other area experts. This project includes the following activities:

- Video modules on Urban Gardening, Nutritional Tips, Healthy Living, Music of the Americas
- Virtual classes for English Language Learners (ELL) and opportunities to be an English Language Tutor
- Weekly Connections Pair up with University students to connect weekly either by telephone or online. Shared readings, videos, or mini-lectures will serve as discussion starters.
- Your Stories Opportunities to have your oral histories recorded and archived
