Local Marketing Company Offers Unique Benefits

Created in 2009, the company started with just the owner and has seen immense growth. Now, with 6 full time employees, the owner, Heather Logrippo wanted to find ways to incentivize her staff and provide a fulfilling career with new perks.

"It's taken a while, but we finally have the right people in the company. Thus, retention and employee satisfaction is high on my priority list. Until just recently, the company only offered a small vacation package, along with a few work from home days a month. In the past 60 days the company has; started an employee 401k plan with company match, provided health insurance options for its employees, is providing life insurance, long and short term disability programs and starting in 2017, each employee will be given 5 work from wherever days, in addition to the 2 weeks' vacation offered.

Employees were polled about what was important to them and work/life balance, coupled with the ability to travel and work remotely became recurring themes in their responses. As a result, Logrippo decided to come up with the "work from wherever" benefit, whereby employees can travel and not have to be in the office.
