Low-Flying Helicopter Planned Near Shrewsbury Construction Site

Helicopter activity may bring traffic interruptions and elevated noise to the area.

SHREWSBURY, MA — Low-flying helicopter activity may bring traffic interruptions and elevated noise near 50 Centech Blvd. early Saturday morning.

The helicopter activity is scheduled from 7 to 8 a.m. Saturday, June 13, as part of ongoing construction at the site, according to Shrewsbury police. Layton Construction is coordinating the operation and implementing safety precautions, police said.

The town lists 50 Centech Boulevard as an ongoing project in Shrewsbury, with public site plan, traffic, stormwater and sound documents posted on the town website.

The development is a proposed logistics facility in Shrewsbury and Grafton, according to a Grafton Planning Board decision. The project has also included review of traffic and sound impacts.
