Main Street Closed In Shrewsbury Due To Water Main Break

SHREWSBURY, MA — A section of Main Street is closed Monday due to a water main break near KinderCare.

Main Street is completely closed in front of 176 Main St. while repair crews work to fix the issue. The closure is expected to last several hours, according to the Shrewsbury Police Department.

Westbound traffic is being detoured down O’Donnell Avenue. Drivers are being asked to avoid the area and use an alternate route if possible.

Parents picking up children from KinderCare may park in the Surgery Center parking lot or the India Center parking lot and walk to the facility.

Officials said updates will be provided as they become available.
