Water Service Restored In Shrewsbury After Main Street Water Main Break
A section of Main Street was closed on Monday due to a water main break.

SHREWSBURY, MA — A section of Main Street was closed Monday due to a water main break near KinderCare.
Main Street was completely closed in front of 176 Main St. while repair crews work to fix the issue. The closure was expected to last several hours, according to the Shrewsbury Police Department.
Town officials announced that water service was restored on Monday night. While services were restored, DPW crews remained on site to flush the lines.

Shrewsbury residents may continue to experience discolored water or a loss of water pressure due to the service interruption, according to the town. Those experiencing any issues are advised to run cold water from a downstairs faucet or an outside water spigot.
On Monday, Westbound traffic was being detoured down O’Donnell Avenue. Drivers were also asked to avoid the area and use an alternate route if possible.
