Elsie Kaye Artisan Gifts & Flamework Studio

Elsie Kaye Gift Shop &amp; Artisan Studio In 2009, on a whim, Holly Kenny took a flameworking class and learned to make glass beads. This sparked a love of glass art and led to the launch her business, Elsie Kaye Gift Shop and Art Studio in downtown Westborough. Holly currently teaches flameworking and metalworking at her studio and is on the faculty at the New England Craft Program in Williamsburg, MA. Holly loves the fluidity and movement of glass and enjoys incorporating metals, enamels and other elements that can change the texture and appearance of the glass. As a result, much of her work takes on an abstract, organic feel. Her work, under the name Elsie Kaye Glassworks, can be found at more than 50 boutiques and galleries across the country. Holly is passionate about promoting emerging local artists by selling their work at her retail shop, as well as helping to foster connections with new and existing businesses in the local area. She is an active member of her community, where she has lived with her husband and two children since 2006.

Worcester police are searching for a man who allegedly robbed the Shell Gas Station on Lincoln Street with a gun on Monday night. Shortly after 11 p.m., police were called to the station, where two clerks said that a man entered the store, approached the counter with a gun and tapped the muzzle on the counter while demanding cash. The clerk handed over an undisclosed amount of money.According to police, the suspect is described as a white male, approximately 5'8" tall, about 160 lbs and wearing a gray hoodie. If anyone has information about this incident they can send an anonymous text to 274637 TIPWPD + your message or send an anonymous web based message at worcesterma.gov/police. Calls can also be made to the Worcester Police Detective Bureau at 508-799-8651.
