Elsie Kaye Artisan Gifts & Flamework Studio

Elsie Kaye Gift Shop &amp; Artisan Studio In 2009, on a whim, Holly Kenny took a flameworking class and learned to make glass beads. This sparked a love of glass art and led to the launch her business, Elsie Kaye Gift Shop and Art Studio in downtown Westborough. Holly currently teaches flameworking and metalworking at her studio and is on the faculty at the New England Craft Program in Williamsburg, MA. Holly loves the fluidity and movement of glass and enjoys incorporating metals, enamels and other elements that can change the texture and appearance of the glass. As a result, much of her work takes on an abstract, organic feel. Her work, under the name Elsie Kaye Glassworks, can be found at more than 50 boutiques and galleries across the country. Holly is passionate about promoting emerging local artists by selling their work at her retail shop, as well as helping to foster connections with new and existing businesses in the local area. She is an active member of her community, where she has lived with her husband and two children since 2006.

Free drop-off event on May 16, 2015 from 8:30am to 1:00pm at Melican Middle School, 145 Lincoln Street, Northboro.  (Rain Date May 17, 2015Bring us your rinsed, sorted, and saved foam items!  Tape and labels must be removed.  Accepted items include:  PS6 foam takeout containers, meat and produce trays, hot/cold cups, coolers (large and small), and packing material/blocks.  Clean packing peanuts that are bagged may be dropped off.  Also accepting LDPE 4 and PP5 foam products.  GFWC Northboro Junior Woman's Club is sponsoring this event in collaboration with the Town of Northboro's Recycling Committee and ReFoamIt, LLC.  For more information please visit northborojuniors.org or ReFoamIt.com.  Thank you for reducing waste by recycling more!
