Gauch Park Pond in Shrewsbury remains closed until further notice because laboratory testing is still showing high levels of E. Coli.Original Public Health Advisory was posted July 15, 2021.
The Worcester Division of Public Health (WDPH) and the Town of Shrewsburyβs Board of Health has ordered the Dean Park Pond and Gauch Park Pond closed. Both of these locations will remain closed until further laboratory tests reveal acceptable and safe water quality limits. Town officials encourage individuals and their pets to avoid contact at both Dean Park Pond and Gauch Park Pond, including fishing, until further notice. Dean Park Pond is located off of Main Street in Shrewsbury.
Gauch Park Pond is located at the corner of North Quinsigamond Avenue and Main Street.
