Rash Of Housebreaks In Shrewsbury Over 2 Days: Police

Police are warning residents of a recent housebreak uptick in Shrewsbury, particularly in the south part of town.

SHREWSBURY, MA —Shrewsbury police are reporting several residential house breaks that have occurred in Shrewsbury in the last two days.

On March 29 and 30, a total of five house breaks have occurred in the south section of Shrewsbury. In particular the streets are, Stoney Hill Road, Nightingale Drive, Hemingway Street and Hampshire Drive.

The B&Ess are occurring during the daylight hours and forced entry is being made into unoccupied homes, said police.

Items stolen during the B&E’s include jewelry, cash, silverware, electronics and clothing. Residents are asked to remain vigilant and call the Shrewsbury Police 911 immediately if they observe any suspicious activity in their neighborhoods.
