Selectmen Approve Adding One Voting Precinct

With the census numbers on the rise since 2000, the selectmen vote to approve adding a 10th precinct.

The selectmen vote 4-1 to approve adding a 10th precinct to the voting precincts in town after receiving the increase in population from the 2010 census.

With some discussion about the need for an additional voting precinct, the selectmen voted to add the 10th precinct with a dissent from Selectman Chair James Kane.

  • to appoint Beth Casavant to the Library Board of Trustees.
  • to approve the proposed taxi regulations.
  • to create an Open Space and Recreation Plan Committee.
  • to approve the dog officer as a police officer in town.
  • to appoint Dan Wolohan to the Sherwood & Spring Street Building Committee.
  • to put a warning sign instead of a stop sign on Wiltshire Drive at Richard Avenue.

The next meeting of the selectmen is Tuesday, June 14, at 7 p.m.
