Who's Running For Election In Shrewsbury in 2022: Ballot

Shrewsbury's 2022 filing deadline passed last week. Here are the candidates who have signed up to run for office this spring.

SHREWSBURY, MA — The town clerk has finalized the list of candidates running for office in Shrewsbury in 2022. There are four races in the May 3 election for seats on the Board of Selectmen, Shrewsbury School Committee, the housing authority and the library trustees.

Only two races will be competitive this year: selectmen and school committee. Board of Selectmen Chair John Samia is seeking another term, but Vice Chair John Lebeaux is stepping down when his term ends in May. Town Meeting member Michelle Conlin and Rajesh Uppalapati are running for seats on the board.

On the School Committee side, Lynsey Heffernan will seek a new term this spring, and three others have signed up to run for the seat B. Dale Magee is leaving.

Here's the full list of 2022 candidates. Each candidate has until March 31 to withdraw from the election.
