Shrewsbury 2026 Official Election Results: Sharma, Garcia Claim Select Board Wins
On Tuesday, Shrewsbury residents voted on the Trustees of the Public Library and contested races for the Select Board and School Committee.
SHREWSBURY, MA — The official winners are in following Shrewsbury's 2026 Annual Town Election, featuring three races.
Official results for the Annual Town Election revealed that, in the two contested races, Anand Sharma and Carlos Garcia were elected to the Select Board, while Rachel Sharifipour and Nicole Torres were elected to the School Committee.
Sharma garnered 2292 votes and Garcia had 2271 votes. Incumbent Beth Casavant fell behind by a small margin, gaining 2205 votes.

Sharifipour garnered 2605 votes, while Torres had 2605 votes. Pacy fell behind with 1512 votes.
Election Day, Voter Turnout
On Tuesday, Shrewsbury residents voted on the Trustees of the Public Library and contested races for the Select Board and School Committee.

Voting was held from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., and the town clerk’s office released an unofficial vote count Tuesday night.
There were 4,229 votes cast, which represents 16 percent of the town's 26,980 registered voters.
