Shrewsbury Coronavirus: 95 Confirmed Cases

SHREWSBURY, MA — Shrewsbury has 95 confirmed cases of the new coronavirus in town, as of Tuesday. Shrewsbury health officials are working with state officials to ensure each case is isolated or quarantined.

A COVID-19 information line has been established for Shrewsbury Residents to use at 508-799-
1019. The line provides facts and information about COVID-19, how to stop the spread, what to
do if someone is experiencing symptoms and quarantine information. The line will be available
in multiple languages.

Shrewsbury Town Hall will be closed to the public until May 1. Playgrounds, tennis courts, basketball courts, the Shrewsbury High School athletic complex and the Donahue Rowing Center are closed until further notice. Parks and Middle School and Elementary School campuses are open for passive recreation only.

The Annual Town Meeting & Annual Town Election have been postponed to a date to be determined.

The total number of cases in the state is 28,163. Gov. Charlie Baker said on Tuesday, about half the state's nearly 16,000 hospital beds are available for patients suffering from COVID-19.
