Shrewsbury Fire Dept. To Host Open House And Fire Event
The open house will showcase the facility and equipment and share fire safety and prevention tips with residents of all ages.
SHREWSBURY, MA — Shrewsbury Fire will host an open house in order showcase their facility and equipment and share fire safety and prevention tips with residents of all ages.
Firefighters will share information about the importance of having working smoke and carbon monoxide detectors in their homes, and will also help residents develop home escape plans and more. Papa Gino’s will provide free pizza and children’s fire safety coloring sheets at the open house.
“Our open house is a great opportunity to show kids and adults alike what it’s like to be a firefighter and also share important fire safety lessons,” Chief Vuona said. “This event is something we look forward to every year, and I hope everyone will set aside time to come meet our members and see our station and vehicles up close.”
Papa Gino’s is celebrating its 25th year of sponsoring Fire Safety Open Houses throughout New England to encourage families to learn about fire safety. During the month of October, Papa Gino’s will provide customers with fire prevention coloring sheets and certificates for kids. National Fire Prevention Week is from Oct. 6-12.
