Shrewsbury Needs ZBA, Planning Commission Members
The town is looking for four volunteers to serve on two key planning boards in Shrewsbury and beyond.

SHREWSBURY, MA β Shrewsbury is looking for a few volunteers to serve on two very important boards overseeing local and regional planning.
The town has two seats each on the Shrewsbury Zoning Board of Appeals and the Central Massachusetts Regional Planning Commission available.
The ZBA hears proposals on building projects that fall outside immediate local zoning rules and need special permission to proceed. The CMRPC oversees transportation issues across central Massachusetts, and handles federal money set aside for transportation.

Zoning Board of Appeals: Vacant seat with term expiring in March 2025 and an associate member with a term expiring in March 2024 available. Registered Shrewsbury voters can apply by sending a letter of interest and resume to Select Board Chair Maurice DePalo at selectboard@shrewsburyma.gov by 4:30 p.m. on March 3.

CMRPC: Delegate seat and an alternate seat with terms set to expire in June. The seats help connect the town's planning commission with CMRPC's work. Registered Shrewsbury voters can apply by sending a letter of interest and resume to Select Board Chair Maurice DePalo at selectboard@shrewsburyma.gov by 4:30 p.m. on Feb. 17.
