Elsie Kaye Gift Shop &amp; Artisan Studio In 2009, on a whim, Holly Kenny took a flameworking class and learned to make glass beads. This sparked a love of glass art and led to the launch her business, Elsie Kaye Gift Shop and Art Studio in downtown Westborough. Holly currently teaches flameworking and metalworking at her studio and is on the faculty at the New England Craft Program in Williamsburg, MA. Holly loves the fluidity and movement of glass and enjoys incorporating metals, enamels and other elements that can change the texture and appearance of the glass. As a result, much of her work takes on an abstract, organic feel. Her work, under the name Elsie Kaye Glassworks, can be found at more than 50 boutiques and galleries across the country. Holly is passionate about promoting emerging local artists by selling their work at her retail shop, as well as helping to foster connections with new and existing businesses in the local area. She is an active member of her community, where she has lived with her husband and two children since 2006.

SHREWSBURY, MA — A nighttime burglary this week at a Worcester dollar store was the work of a man and a woman from Shrewsbury, according to police. Early Thursday morning, Worcester police responded to the Dollar Tree along Southbridge Street to investigate a break-in that occurred while the store was closed for the night. After watching surveillance video, police identified a 45-year-old Shrewsbury man as one of the burglars. He had recently been fired from his job at the store, police said. Police identified a second person involved in the burglary as a 49-year-old Shrewsbury woman who also worked at the store.The pair stole money from the Dollar Tree, according to police. Both were charged with breaking and entering at night, larceny in a building, larceny from a person, vandalism, breaking into a safe and larceny over $1,200, according to Worcester police
