Shrewsbury Park Improvement Project Extends Through Winter

SHREWSBURY, MA — An improvement project at Maple Avenue Park in Shrewsbury began this week and will continue throughout the winter and spring. Macura Excavating is handling the $750,000 project, which is fully funded through the American Rescue Plan Act Funding Plan.

The improvements include the installation of a new water main line to replace the existing main which feeds a fire hydrant, the installation of a new drainage system in the driveway, the installation of electrical and irrigation conduits, and, once all utility work is complete, the repaving of the driveway loop, according to a city statement.

One entrance to the park will remain open during construction. Construction traffic signage will be in place for guidance.
