Shrewsbury Pastor Shot Outside Church in Hartford
The reverend was placing Memorial Day flags outside of his church.

A Shrewsbury pastor was among two shot early Sunday in Hartford, Connecticut.
NBC Connecticut reports that Rev. Dr. Augustus Sealy, 54, was shot while placing Memorial Day flags outside of the First Church of Nazarene around 6:30 a.m.. Sealy had been shot in the right leg and the left shoulder. The NY Daily News reported that Sealy sustained three gunshots, and it is considered a “drive-by shooting.”
Witnesses reported to police that they saw a vehicle leaving the scene. NBC Connecticut reported that Rev. Sealy was placing the flags from different countries - a tradition for the Memorial Day celebration before a service that was planned to celebrate Sealy’s fifth anniversary with the church. He received surgery and is listed in critical condition, but expected to survive.
