Annual event has raised over $200,000 for the Shrewsbury Public Schools

Shrewsbury, MA- Planning for the Seventh Annual Celebration in the Garden Party, a community fundraiser that benefits all nine Shrewsbury Public Schools, is underway with new and returning sponsors already in place. The 15-40 Connection, proudly gifted by Columbia Tech, a Coghlin Company has generously returned as a Presenting Sponsor for this year’s event. Jenny Boston will once also provide sponsorship in addition to donating a basket packed with favorites from their line of women’s accessories that is always a sought after item in the silent auction. Wicked Good Cookies of West Boylston has signed on as this year’s Dessert Sponsor and will offer specially designed cookies and brownies for guests to enjoy, and Shrewsbury’s Danielson’s Flowers will again provide the arrangements that adorn the tables throughout the tent.
The event, known simply as The Garden Party, will take place on Saturday, June 13th at the Fallon House, home of Heather Logrippo and Kevin Roberts. Local favorite Tension will once again provide the musical entertainment for the night and Pepper’s Fine Catering of Northborough will be back with a delectable variety of stationary and passed hors d’oeuvres.
Spirits are always top shelf at The Garden Party and this year will not disappoint, with Expose Yourself Public Relations returning as our Spirits Sponsor. This year’s signature drink, which is still in the planning phases, will return once again in a surprising new flavor, sponsored by Shrewsbury Counseling Center. Guest will be greeted upon arrival with a glass of champagne and will enjoy complimentary beer and wine throughout the evening, with the wine generously sponsored by Mike Andrews and Concha y Toro.

In addition to great company, music, food and libations, this top-notch affair includes an opportunity to win a unique piece of jewelry donated by KambourianJewelers.com and one of the most exciting auctions in the area. Last year, over 150 items were on display in the silent auction, many offering once in a lifetime experiences like recording the snow day message that is played whenever weather delays or closes the public schools.
Since the first Garden Party in 2009, over $200,000 has been raised for the Shrewsbury Public Schools, allowing building principals to fund their most critical needs for curriculum and technology. The Shrewsbury Public Schools Foundation is a private 501 (c) 3 comprised entirely of community volunteers who work to make this event possible.
