Shrewsbury Seeks Residents For Master Plan Steering Committee

SHREWSBURY, MA — Shrewsbury residents have a chance to help shape the town’s next long-term development plan.
The Select Board is seeking applications for seven resident-at-large positions on the Master Plan Steering Committee, including five representatives and two alternates. Applications are due on July 20.
The town is updating its 2016 Master Plan to reflect Shrewsbury’s needs in 2026 and beyond. The updated plan will guide major decisions on land use, economic development, housing, public facilities, open space, recreation, natural resources and transportation.

Committee members will attend meetings, host public workshops, speak with residents about what they want to see in Shrewsbury’s future and work with subcommittees focused on specific areas of the Master Plan.
Residents can apply through the town’s board and committee application form. The application requires a resume and letter of interest.
