Shrewsbury's Kristen Las To Become Westford Town Manager
Las has been a longtime assistant town manager and planner in Shrewsbury.

SHREWSBURY, MA β Longtime Shrewsbury town employee Kristen Las marked her last day in town hall Thursday β she's moving on to become Westford's new town manager.
Las' municipal career in Shrewsbury dates back to 2010, when she was hired as the town planner and economic development director. She was elevated in 2015 to become a Shrewsbury assistant town manager and economic development coordinator. Her title has since changed to assistant town manager for community development and human services
"She skillfully established the professional planning function for the town of Shrewsbury during her time here, enabling $100βs of millions of private investment and development that will benefit the community for generations to come," the town said on social media Thursday. "We want to wish Kristen well in this next part of her professional journey-she will be greatly missed by Shrewsbury!"

Las was in the running for the Westford job along with finalists Eric Heideman, Westford's assistant town manager, and Tyngsboro Town Administrator Matthew Hanson.
Fourteen-year Westford town manager Jodi Ross announced in June she would step down from the job.
