Stabbing on Worcester Porch Leads to Arrest
An arrest was made in a Worcester stabbing.
WORCESTER, MA -- A man is facing charges stemming from a stabbing that occurred in Worcester on early Thursday morning.
Around 2:30 a.m., Worcester police were called to a local hospital for a report of a man who suffered from a stab wound. The 24-year-old had been stabbed on the porch of an apartment on Andover Street, and was transported to the hospital by a friend.
Police say the victim and now-named suspect Calvin Washington, 49, 9 Andover St., Apartment 1, Worcester, had an argument and Washington stabbed the victim during it..
Washington was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon causing serious bodily injury.
The victim is in stable condition, said police.
