We will send out daily updates as the work progresses.

The purpose of the project is to remove infiltration and inflow (I/I) from entering the sanitary sewer system and upgrade critical infrastructure in your area. The project area is located throughout town and began on Wednesday, July 14, 2021, and continue through January 14, 2022, weather dependent. The regular work hours will generally be Monday through Friday, 7:00AM to 5:00PM, with some exceptions for after hours. It is recommended to keep the lids of toilets closed while this work is taking place as the vacuum pressure created by the cleaning may cause air to escape though the traps and drains of your plumbing fixtures. Please follow the link below for more information about this project.

The construction will consist of trenchless wastewater pipeline rehabilitations including cleaning, inspection, testing and sealing of pipe joints and service connections, and cured-in-place-pipe (CIPP) installation. Trenchless manhole rehabilitations will consist of cementitious and epoxy lining, inflow dish installation, repairing manhole cones, chimneys, walls and benches and inverts. Construction will also include open cut point repairs of gravity sewers and resetting and replacing manhole frames and covers.

While the sewer upgrade project is being conducted in your area, Weston & Sampson and the town will have a resident engineer on site inspecting the construction project. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Water & Sewer Division at (508) 841-8502. Please leave a message including your name, address, and telephone number and someone will get back to you promptly. The Town of Shrewsbury’s Water & Sewer Division thanks you for your cooperation and apologizes in advance for any inconvenience.
