NOTICE OF INTENTION TO ADJUST REQUIREMENTS FOR A QUORUM AT THE SHREWSBURY SPECIAL TOWN MEETING ON OCTOBER 18, 2021

Pursuant to Section 7 of Chapter 92 of the Acts of 2020 and Section 8 of Chapter 20 of the Acts of 2021, the Board of Selectmen of the Town of Shrewsbury will hold a public meeting on October 12, 2021, at 7:00 PM, at the Board of Selectmen’s Meeting Room, Richard D. Carney Municipal Office Building, 100 Maple Avenue, Shrewsbury, Massachusetts 01545-5398 to consider, in consultation with and with the approval of the Town Moderator, an adjustment of the Town Meeting quorum requirement for the October 18, 2021 Special Town Meeting, to be held at Oak Middle School Auditorium, 45 Oak Street, Shrewsbury, Massachusetts 01545 at 7:00 PM. The quorum requirement may be adjusted to less than the number required by the Shrewsbury General Bylaws and Chapter 553 of the Acts of 1953, as amended, but not less than 10 per cent of the number that would otherwise be required.
