Elsie Kaye Gift Shop &amp; Artisan Studio In 2009, on a whim, Holly Kenny took a flameworking class and learned to make glass beads. This sparked a love of glass art and led to the launch her business, Elsie Kaye Gift Shop and Art Studio in downtown Westborough. Holly currently teaches flameworking and metalworking at her studio and is on the faculty at the New England Craft Program in Williamsburg, MA. Holly loves the fluidity and movement of glass and enjoys incorporating metals, enamels and other elements that can change the texture and appearance of the glass. As a result, much of her work takes on an abstract, organic feel. Her work, under the name Elsie Kaye Glassworks, can be found at more than 50 boutiques and galleries across the country. Holly is passionate about promoting emerging local artists by selling their work at her retail shop, as well as helping to foster connections with new and existing businesses in the local area. She is an active member of her community, where she has lived with her husband and two children since 2006.

SHREWSBURY, MA – A vehicle of interest has been located in a fatal hit-and-run in Shrewsbury last month, police said. Alma Cico, 59, of Shrewsbury, was struck while crossing Municipal Drive the evening of Nov. 6. She was later pronounced dead at UMass Medical Center.Shortly after the collision, police announced they were searching for a light gray or silver pickup truck, either four-door or with an extended cab. It also had black rims and may be dented in the upper right side of the tailgate, police said.A traffic officer found a vehicle matching that description, according to police. The owner, a West Boylston resident, is cooperating with the investigation. Police said the owner was unaware of a crash with a pedestrian.
