Woman Killed While Crossing Route 9, Struck By Shrewsbury Man
A woman has died from her injuries after being struck by a vehicle driven by a Shrewsbury man.

WESTBOROUGH, MA — A woman who was struck by a car while crossing Route 9 in Westborough has died, say authorities.
On April 3 around 9:24 p.m., Westborough were called to Route 9 east in front of Decks Plus where a pedestrian had been hit by a vehicle. A woman was in the travel lane suffering from threatening injuries.
She was treated by Paramedics from the Westborough Fire Department and was transported to UMass Medical Center university campus, where she succumbed to her injuries.

The woman was identified as Nancy A. Farnkoff, 33 of 588 2nd St., Boston.
The vehicle, a 2005 Toyota, was operated by Frederick M. Winslow, age 56, of 32 Topsfield Cir., Shrewsbury. He was not injured in the crash.

According to an investigation, Farnkoff was crossing Route 9 from the westbound lane. She crossed the jersey barrier and was struck by Winslow's vehicle, which was heading east.
The accident is still under investigation.
