• Taste of Somerville returns June 10, 2026 (thesomervilletimes.com) — Somerville’s signature Taste of Somerville food festival returns to Boynton Yards on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, showcasing more than 50 local restaurants, breweries, and wineries. The evening fundraiser supports Somerville nonprofit Elizabeth Peabody House and highlights the city’s diverse dining scene, with student-designed posters, early-bird ticket options, and a rain date set for June 11.    

• Assault reports, arrest for breaking and entering in Somerville (newportdispatch.com) — Somerville police are investigating two recent assaults in Davis Square and have arrested a suspect after a reported breaking and entering on Day Street. The incidents, all occurring April 4–5, involved an assault after a panhandler’s request for money and another outside a bar, plus a ransacked apartment where stolen jewelry was recovered from the arrested man.
