Local restaurant to donate proceeds after catastrophic floods in Nepal (wcvb.com) — Himalayan Kitchen on Bow Street in Somerville is donating a portion of its proceeds over the next few weeks to support disaster relief after deadly floods in Nepal. The family-owned Nepalese restaurant, moved by heartbreaking news coverage and personal ties, is inviting local diners to help channel aid to affected communities overseas.
4. Medford: Man Arrested After Disturbance at Fells Plaza (thesomervillenewsweekly.blog subscription) — A man was arrested after allegedly chasing people and throwing a glass bottle at Fells Plaza in Medford, causing a minor injury to a nearby child, and was arraigned at Somerville District Court. Police say multiple 911 calls initially suggested a possible firearm and shooting, but an investigation with video and witnesses confirmed no gun was involved.
