2 Found Dead, 1 Man Injured in Police Shootout

Two were found dead in the 11th floor of a South Boston building near Broadway Station Friday night.

Police found two dead in a South Boston penthouse after engaging in a short firefight with a man Friday night.

Police responded to 141 Dorchester Ave. around 8:38 p.m. for reports of a person with a gun. The man started to immediately shoot at officers when he saw them, police said. He was placed into custody following being shot and a violent struggled.

The man, Bampumim Teixeira, 30, of Chelsea, was transported to the hospital. No officers were shot, but several went to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
