5 Things, Including a Little Money for South End Parks
Five things you need to know today, May 30.

1) Three South End parks win small grants: The Worcester Street Community Garden, Berkeley Community Garden and Peters Park are in line for a little green from the city. The Parks Department has revived its “seed grant” program and will distribute $5,990 to several groups to help improve parks across the city. The grants are based on small-dollar requests but will help keep the parks in good condition.
2) Stories for kids: Preschool Story Time returns to the South End Library today at 10:30 a.m.. Bring the rugrats in for stories and crafts.
3) Orange line blues: . That weekend work will precede next month’s l as construction starts for the new Assembly Square station in Somerville.
