1) Dear Mr. Mayor: Mayor Thomas Menino met with 14-year-old South Ender Yaxander Baez last week. Menino and Baez were pen pals this year for the Timilty Middle School’s wonderful Promising Pals program. Baez will go to New Mission High School next year.
2) Start your summer diet with the rest of the city: Boston Moves For Health is the city’s effort to collectively shed 1 million pounds. The kickoff event starts at noon at City Hall Plaza with an exercise demos and free t-shirt giveaway.
3) Indoor fun for kids: It looks like another rainy day, so why not take your pre-schooler to the South End LIbrary for Toddler Story Hour? The reading and crafts start at 11 a.m..
