• Former Ben Franklin Institute campus in South End now being pitched as apartments (thebostonsun.com) — A major redevelopment of the former Benjamin Franklin Institute campus at 41 Berkeley Street is moving ahead in the South End, with plans now calling for nearly 300 apartments, added retail space, and more underground parking. Neighbors can still weigh in, as the city's public comment period on the revised project runs through Oct. 5, and preservation of historic buildings and murals remains a key part of the plan.
