Boston Among America's Worst Cities for Retirees
WalletHub recently looked at 150 of the country's largest cities for its "2015 Best and Worst Cities to Retire" report.

When it comes to choosing a city to live out your retirement, Boston is among the worst places in the United States.
That’s according to a recent study conducted by WalletHub. The financial website’s staff looked at 150 of the country’s largest cities for its 2015 Best and Worst Cities to Retire report. Rankings were based on 24 metrics, including cost of living, healthcare, quality of life and access to recreational activities.

When the numbers were crunched, Boston received a ranking of 143 out of 150.

- “Affordability” rank: 149
- “Activities” rank: 86
- “Quality of Life” rank 131
- “Health Care” rank: 99
Chicago, New York City, and Providence were among some of the cities ranked below Boston.
Tampa Bay, Scottsdale and Boise rounded out the top three places in the country for retirees.
