Boston Bikes Presents its Second Women’s Bike Social on Thursday, July 10th

Boston Bikes’ new women’s bike initiative is pleased to present

the free Tasting Tour Ride, the second ride of a free series of Women’s Bike

Socials taking place throughout Boston this summer. On Thursday, July 10th, this second bike social, the Tasting Tour Ride, will meet at Chinatown Park on the Rose Kennedy Greenway for a taste of some of Boston’s more unique local restaurants.

Riders will get enjoy stops along the 6-mile ride featuring a

rest stop hosted by Taranta. The ride ends

at the Christopher Columbus Park in the North End with dessert along the waterfront.

Part learning experience, part

social outing, this ride welcomes adult women riders of all experience levels,

but is geared for those new to road riding.

The Tasting Tour ride is the second of a series of bike socials
being organized by Boston Bikes’ new Women’s Program. The goal of this program

is to spread the joy and benefits of biking in Boston, and to encourage more

women to take to the streets by bike. The Bike Social rides are typically
6-8 miles along a relatively flat route, and at a pace that encourages socializing and interaction. Each ride features a unique theme or destination.
