Boston to Get Comcast Video Streaming Service

The service will allow Comcast customers a way of watching live television on any internet-connected device

Bostonians looking to rid themselves of a cable box and the accompanying mess of wires, will soon be able to do so thanks to Comcast.

The cable provider will be launching a video streaming service at the end of the summer, much like what Netflix, Hulu and HBO currently offer.

The new service, known as “Stream,” will allow Comcast customers a way of watching live television on any internet-connected device. The service will cost just $15 per month. It includes on-demand movies and shows.

According to Comcast, the services will be available to everyone by early 2016.
