Boston Marathon Bomber Wants New Trial Outside City
Tsarnaev's lawyers filed legal documents on Monday that outline why the convicted bomber is deserving of a new trial.

The lawyers who represent convicted Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev are now seeking a new trial outside of Boston. They say his trial should never have been held in Boston because jurors held a biased opinion from the start.
Tsarnaev’s lawyers filed documents Monday, explaining their desire for a new trial. They feel he deserves one.
The filings argue that jurors’ decisions were likely influenced by the reaction of friends and family.

His lawyers questioned the term “crime of violence” which was applied to Tsarnaev’s actions. They feel the term is too vague.
Tsarnaev was convicted of 30 federal charges back in June. He was sentenced to death for killing three people and injuring more than 260 others.

“I am sorry for the lives that I’ve taken,” Tsarnaev said before he was sentenced to death.
Tsarnaev is currently being held in America’s highest-security prison, ADX Florence.
