About Cantata Singers
· During the 2015-2016 season, the critically acclaimed 44-voice chorus Cantata Singers will perform a four-program series in New England Conservatory’s Jordan Hall, First Church Cambridge, and Lexington’s Cary Hall, as well as a three-program chamber series at the American Academy of Arts and Letters. Information about the organization and details of the season and can be found here: http://www.cantatasingers.org/season/
· Cantata Singers is a chorus of volunteer professional singers.
· Possible paid opportunities include solo roles in the concert series, participation in the chamber series, and teaching/performing in Cantata Singers’ Classroom Cantatas educational outreach songwriting program.
· Singers invited to participate in the ensemble will be asked to sing some or all of the season, depending upon the needs of each program.
· Participating singers are expected to attend all rehearsals.
· These auditions are for participation in the chorus. Any chorus member wishing to be considered for a solo opportunity must already be signed up to sing the concert in question.
· Regular chorus rehearsals are on Wednesdays, 7:30-10pm, in Brookline, beginning six or seven weeks before each performance. The final rehearsals for each concert are expanded in length and number.
