Citizen Committee to Review Back Bay/South End Gateway Project
Next meeting is July 13. It is open to the public.
Boston, MA - A Citizens Advisory Committee meeting open to the public is scheduled to review the Back Bay/South End Gateway Project next week.
The committee, comprised of residents, business owners, community organizations and professionals appointed by the mayor, is tasked with reviewing and guiding the proposed development by Boston Properties at the project site. The committee is responsible for assisting the Boston Redevelopment Authority in reviewing development scenarios, urban design, transportation impacts, etc.
The Back Bay/South End Gateway would build a mixed-use office, retail, restaurant, commercial and residential development at 145 and 165 Dartmouth Street in Back Bay. The 1.26 million-square-foot project would be built in and over the garage and Back Bay T stop currently on the site. The project straddles the border between the Back Bay and South end neighborhoods near Interstate 90.
